Oprogramowanie Najważniejsze funkcje.

Kompleks sprzętowo-programowy UCDS umożliwia użytkownikowi:

- wykonać diagnostykę większości jednostek i komponentów pojazdu podłączonych do centralnego modułu elektrycznego (GEM, BCMii) za pośrednictwem magistrali danych (CAN);

- otrzymywać informacje o modułach i komponentach zainstalowanych w pojeździe, w tym. ich numer katalogowy, wersja kalibracyjna, numer seryjny;

- dokonywania zmian zarówno w centralnej konfiguracji samochodu, jak i zmiany konfiguracji poszczególnych modułów i komponentów pojazdu, w razie potrzeby;

- zaktualizować kalibrację (oprogramowanie układowe) poszczególnych modułów i komponentów pojazdu, w tym silnika (tzw. chip tuning);

- zrujnować standardowe moduły audio wyprodukowane przez SONY;

- zaktualizować (wymienić) oprogramowanie modułów drzwi, aby aktywować funkcję automatycznego składania zewnętrznych lusterek wstecznych podczas uzbrajania samochodu.

Oprogramowanie składa się ze sterowników szeregowej magistrali USB (zalecane są sterowniki FTDI) zainstalowanych na komputerze PC w celu prawidłowego parowania magistrali danych komputera i samochodu oraz samego interfejsu oprogramowania UCDS.

Interfejs oprogramowania UCDS posiada główne okno wyboru trybu pracy: wybór typu pojazdu lub wybór trybu serwisowego do aktualizacji oprogramowania wewnętrznego adaptera, uaktualnienia lub wyboru oprogramowania sprzętowego różnych modułów audio oraz wykonywania innych funkcji serwisowych.
