The Browning Black Label Integrity Tactical Folder is a part of Browning's exciting new line of Tactical knives. The Black Label Tactical Knives were developed with input from Special Ops, Military, and Law Enforcement knife experts, including Russ Kommer and Jared Wihongi. The Black Label series features a full spectrum of knives to cover every mission possible. With the finest blades and craftsmanship, the Black Label Tactical Knives are knives you can depend on.
The Integrity Folder features a Titanium Nitride Coated 440 Stainless Steel Modified Tanto Point Blade that is perfectly designed to handle a wide variety of tasks. The blade has speed holes along the spine and is partial serrated for added versatility. The Black G-10 handles are extremely durable, and provide an excellent grip in all conditions. This is a great blade by browning. It was designed very well and has good fit and finish. The size of the knife may be considered a bit large, having a 3 3/4" blade, but almost anyone can carry it easily due to the grip's thickness, which is just a hair under 1/2". This is now my EDC knife. The handle is smooth G10, not textured (which allows the knife to easily slide out of a pocket), but you get a firm grip by the two, 3/8" tall finger grooves on the front side of the handle. They allow you to index the blade w/o looking at it. The is a small section of jimping at the top rear of the handle. The handle will accommodate med/large hands well. I have smallish hands, and the two finger grooves (which are spaced about 1 1/2") seem a little too far apart, but is certainly not uncomfortable. If I want to, I can choke up on the handle, putting my three lower fingers between the two finger grooves, and placing my index finger in the finger groove nearest the blade. The pocket clip is plenty robust and looks like it won't tear up your clothing much over time. The blade looks like a modified tanto/drop point. It came out of the box OK sharp and very serviceable, and I like the serrations a lot. The thickness of the spine of the blade is .135", thicker than most pocket knives. The thickness runs the same length all the way up until it tapers off the final 3/4" of the tip of the blade. It should be a great prying tool due to the factors, but I have not pried with it yet. I really like the jimping at the top rear of the blade, place perfectly for a thumb. The knife is pretty easy to open with one hand, though I have to choke up on the handle for my thumb to completely open the blade with one stroke. The blade locks up tight, no play fore/aft what so ever. The lock can't be disengaged easily (it would almost impossible to do so accidently). But the knife can still be closed with your thumb fairly easily. All in all, an amazing blade for EDC. Good for a multi-use cutting/prying/utility tool, and defensive weapon. Highly recommended for people (like me)who can't afford to shell out the cash for a good blade, but want a blade they can depend on.
