The first Wolf + Lamb release of the new decade comes from the young and gifted Nicolas Jaar, who

gives the world ‘Time For Us.’

Dreamt up this summer while living at the Marcy, Wolf + Lamb’s infamous fake hotel, Nicolas Jaar gives

us two slow and enveloping productions, adding a new dimension to his signature sound. “I think both

tracks evoke a new American in me, or the one that never left while I was in Santiago. ‘Mi Mujer’, with

its Spanish title and lyrics was inspired by the countless Puerto Ricans and Dominicans hanging out near

the Marcy.”

‘Time For Us’ too has embodies this new American, his lyrics sung in English for the rst time. The

track’s tempo slides down the scale at its peak and sensual deep spoken passages ooze through the

gaps. “’Time For Us’ was an instant classic, even though it's quite different from what we would

normally feature as an 'A' side, we were both pretty sure about it as soon as we heard it,” says Zev, one

half of Wolf + Lamb, “It feels like Nico's departure from making electronic or dance music into more of

a songwriter.”
