Recenzja z Masterful magazine:
Massive and modern death metal like Zyklon, Morbid Angel, Decapitated and (later) Behemoth from Sevilla, Spain that is philosophical in its lyrics. Neter has only cut two demos prior to this album making it all the more impressive. "Nec Spe Nec Metu" (which translated from Latin means "Neither in hope nor in fear" made famous by Italian Renaissance humanist Mario Equicola) has all the aspects of a band on its way up. Excellent performances on each instrument, carefully structured songs that have a hook and take their time to build into a climax and a superb bass-heavy production job that highlights the band's strengths. The majestic leads/solos on both bass and guitars are a definite plus. Neter bulldozes its way through out the majority of this record but at the right moments takes its music into slower or abstract melodic territory, thus enabling the dynamics to truly flourish. Like later Behemoth and Decapitated this band has taken death metal into a more cerebral and abstract direction while retaining the genre's core traits of heaviness and brutality. "Nec Spe Nec Metu" can easily compete with acts such as Hour Of Penance as far as technical skill and intensity is concerned. The album has been recorded, mixed and mastered at room101 Studio in Madrid, Spain by Paolo Greco. The post-modern artwork, design and lay-out by Alonso Urbanos add greatly to the cerebral atmosphere of this record. This is by far the best record to come out of Spain in the last few years.
