Today there is only one worhshop producing unique and grand masterworks of amber handicraft. Astonishing in the multitude of forms and functions, the objects made in that workshop exemplify the masterly use of handicraft techniques which have their roots in the unmatched skills of the old Gdańsk amber jewellery makerst of the 17th century. The handicraft workshop belongs to Lucjan Myrta and is located in Sopot. Among all the objects ever made in the studio, a few hundred were made by the cfaftsman himself for his own private collection whose larger part today is in the custody of the Historical Museum of the City of Gdańsk and is on exhibition at the Town Hall of the Main City of Gdańsk. Apart from this, an equally large number of amber jewellery was commissioned by various customers (including museums) from Europe, Asia and America.
